Our Foundation: The CLAIR Core Values
CLAIR exists to be a trusted, high-value space for leaders to solve the critical challenges of AI governance. Our entire community operates on a foundation of five core values. This Code of Conduct is the practical application of these values. By participating, you agree to actively uphold them.
-
Pragmatic Rigor: We focus on tangible, defensible solutions.
-
Collective Intelligence: We believe the best solutions are built together.
-
Proactive Stewardship: We actively shape the future of responsible AI.
-
Unwavering Integrity: We are committed to confidentiality and professional trust.
-
Constructive Dialogue: We challenge ideas respectfully to achieve clarity.
Our Values in Practice: Community Standards
These standards are the direct expression of our values. All members are expected to adhere to them.
-
Be a Steward of the Mission.
-
Every discussion should be focused on the professional practice of AI governance, risk, and compliance. We are here to build and share actionable playbooks that solve real-world problems. Off-topic or low-value content dilutes the community for everyone.
-
-
Engage in Constructive Dialogue.
-
We are here to challenge ideas, not people. Vigorous debate is essential for progress, but it must be done with professional respect. Personal attacks, insults, or combative language are not welcome. Engage critically with ideas, not individuals.
-
-
Uphold Absolute Integrity
-
Respect Confidentiality: What is shared in the private CLAIR Slack community stays in the community. Do not share screenshots, copy discussions, or attribute comments to specific members or their organizations without explicit permission.
-
No Solicitation: This is a vendor-neutral space. Overtly pitching your company’s products, using the member list for sales prospecting, or posting unsolicited marketing links is strictly prohibited. Your expertise is your contribution.
-
-
Contribute to Our Collective Intelligence
-
The value of this community comes from shared knowledge. We encourage you to contribute your expertise, ask thoughtful questions, and share your experiences generously. We are all responsible for building the resource we want to use.
-
Unacceptable behavior
To maintain the integrity and focus of our community, the following behaviors are strictly prohibited. This list is not exhaustive but represents clear violations of our core values that will trigger enforcement action.
-
Harassment and Discrimination
-
Any form of harassment, discrimination, abuse, or threatening language related to race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other personal attribute.
-
-
Spam & Unsolicited Promotion
-
Posting irrelevant links, repetitive content, or knowingly sharing false information
-
Sending unsolicited direct messages (DMs) for sales purposes
-
Posting promotional material or press releases for your company
-
Excessively linking to your own content without adding substantial value to the conversation
-
-
Privacy & Confidentiality Violations
-
Sharing any content from our private Slack workspace outside of the community without explicit permission. This includes screenshots, direct quotes, private resources, or member information.
-
Sharing another member's private information is grounds for immediate removal.
-
-
Low-Quality or Off-Topic Content
-
Consistently posting off-topic material or content that does not contribute to the professional discourse on AI governance, risk, and compliance.
-
-
Disruptive & Bad-Faith Engagement
-
Trolling, intentionally derailing conversations, making bad-faith arguments, or otherwise disrupting the collaborative environment and disrespecting the time of other members.
-
-
Misinformation
-
Knowingly sharing information that is false, unsubstantiated, or dangerously misleading. While we encourage debate, we do not tolerate the deliberate spread of misinformation.
-
Enforcement
The CLAIR community managers will enforce this Code of Conduct at their discretion. We are committed to a fair and consistent process.
-
Reporting Violations: If you witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately by sending an email with relevant details and screenshots to hello@joinclair.com. All reports will be kept confidential.
-
Consequences: Members who violate these standards may be subject to a formal warning, temporary suspension from the community, or immediate and permanent removal, depending on the severity of the infraction.
